Hello! My name is Marija Ristic. I am a currently first year piano major at the Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University. I started playing piano at age four. I have competed in many Canadian Music League competitions and attended many Royal Conservatory of Music exams as well.I graduated from Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts. During my four years at high school, I enrolled in a choir, served as a piano accompanist to junior vocalists, was in a stage band, and conducted several stage band classes throughout grade twelve. In the future, I hope to continue to grow as an educator and hopefully have the opportunity to work at a Conservatory of Music, as well as teach private piano lessons. Every musical instructor I have been introduced to has substantially impacted my life, and I hope to one day have such an impact on another individual. Piano has been my passion since I first placed my fingers on the keys. My musical journey has had its ups and downs, but when it comes this journey, I have a strong ambition to succeed and I am eager to discover what the future holds for me.
